India were celebrating a great Day 14 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan at Asian Games 2026 with Pranavi Urs adding the gold medal in the women’s individual stroke play and a silver to a team event with teammate Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar.

The Indian contingent had another productive day as the Asian Games drew to a close with Pranavi taking home two medals.

Kumkum Mohod Creates Archery History

Another stunning feat by Kumkum Mohod as she claimed the gold in the recurve individual women’s category. She emerged out as the first Asian Games Gold winner in the event for the Indian contingent and thus qualified her country for the Olympic Games in LA 2028 as well.

It was not just the all-female competition that produced the gold and silver medal winners in the Sabre Event that night as India also delivered another medal in Archery, with Neeraj Chauhan and Dhiraj Boommadevara locked in an all-Indian duel. India had guaranteed at least a bronze medal in the event thanks to their appearance in the semifinals.

Wrestlers Snatched Last Minute Wraps!

Wrestling was a good place for Aman Sehrawat to make a strong comeback putting his opponent back 14-8, advancing her name to the men’s 57kg freestyle final. Sehrawat trailed in the first period but powered the game back for his gold medal victory in the second period.

Antim Panghal was also in the finals of the 53kg women’s freestyle, providing India with the chance to get a gold medal in the sport.

India finished fifth on the medal table with 79 medals going into the jamb session of the competition. The Indian contingent strived for more podium slots in the discipline of Archery, wrestling, golf and more as the Asian Games come to their end.

The last three days will be all-important for India to rise in the overall tally in Aichi-Nagoya.
