The newly launched Trip Pass system for National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) holders is now functional on the services of National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) buses that run in Nomo Bharat trains, providing a facility to regular commuters to make multiple journeys without paying separately.
The facility is meant for customers who frequently change trains in both directions. Commuters now have the option of putting a certain number of trips on their NCMC card, instead of buying a ticket for each ride or recharging the card multiple times.
In the present times, Namo Bharat has become a bus that transports over 1.1 lakh passengers daily and has a large number of passengers using it for fixed journeys.
With the approach of the “Trip Pass” concept, passengers choose both the origin and destination when booking the pass. After loading the pass onto an NCMC card then the right trip will be deducted automatically if the passenger travels in between these selected stations.
For example, a commuter may buy several tickets up front on a frequent basis between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram to use them for frequent trips on this line. The pass is also multi-day use allowing pass holder more than one journey per day between selected stations during the current day of the pass.
The Standard Coach, Premium Coach, and Tatkal Coach rates between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram are Rs 210, Rs 250, and Rs 325, respectively. If you load more than Rs 2000 in the NCMC wallet, you will not be able to add any money.
In the case of frequent travelers, the amount of money on the wallet may be used up in a few days, necessitating frequent top-ups. The new Trip Pass has been designed to encourage such journeys to be used more easily, as commuters may be able to buy multiple trips in one pass.
The centre is especially for the people who use the train on a daily basis and visit this station several times a day. It eliminates the necessity of swapping out a number of tickets and recharging their card often, as well as enables passengers to control their normal journeys beforehand.
