Decomposed body of 38-year-old woman found in Indore home, Police launch investigation

A decomposed body of a 38-year-old woman was found in the bathroom of her home in Indore on Friday evening, officials said. The incident was brought to the notice of the police after a foul smell emanated from the house in Suryadev Nagar, prompting neighbours to alert her relatives. Police have identified the woman as Anuradha Ektare. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

On receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the house and found Anuradha’s body in the bathroom. It is being speculated that she may have died days earlier, though the police said the time of death will be determined through investigation and post-mortem examination.

Anuradha had been living alone since her mother, Ranjana, died last year, relatives said. They also mentioned that she preferred to keep to herself and did not welcome any interference in her personal life. As a result, she remained lonely, with no visitors for days.

So far, there is no suspicion against anyone, as per the information available to the police. The investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the death, including the possibility of an accident.
