India women team will kick off the Asian Games 2026 on September 18 with a tough draw against Japan on September 17 in the quarter-final in the tournament. As per the Indian Olympic Association program, the game will be played from 10:30 AM IST.
The match will partake in the women’s fixture of the Games, which will give India a shot at a good start to the quest. Japan will test the opposition in the quarter-final, pitting them against an important knockout battle in this quarter-final.
India will also be playing teqball at the Asian Games starting from September 17 for men’s doubles. The Indian Men’s Double team is set to face a Group B Round 1 clash at 12:30 PM followed by a Group B Round 2 clash at 1:00 PM.
India will also participate in women’s singles teqball in the country on September 18 with Q. Dsouza playing at 6:00 AM and 06:30 AM respectively. Following this will be the mixed doubles event during the day, with the Group 1 mixed doubles taking place at 9.30 AM, 11.00 AM, 12.30 PM and 1.30 PM.
But, for the cricketers, the match against Japan on 18th September will be the highlight of the game for the Indians. India’s presence is part of its Asian Games push as the Indian team returns to the sport-stavvy games, where cricket is one of the sports garnering considerable interest.
