According to sources, Govinda will soon make his reality TV debut as a contestant. The actor has reportedly been approached for Rise and Fall Season 2.
The news comes as Govinda’s personal life and his relationship with his wife, Sunita Ahuja, continue to make headlines. It is being said that negotiations are currently underway between Govinda and the makers of the show.
The show is based on the British series created by Studio Lambert. The Dulhe Raja actor is no stranger to reality TV. He earlier hosted shows like Jeeto Chappan Phadke. Over the years, Govinda has also guest-starred on talent-based reality shows like Indian Idol and Super Dancer.
He was recently featured in one of the episodes of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. His last appearance was in Lock Upp: Sach ya Saza, on the day when his wife, Sunita Ahuja, exited the show, citing health reasons.
Rise and Fall Season 2 could mark a new phase in the actor’s career. However, there is no official confirmation from the actor yet.
Of late, Govinda’s personal life has been under public scrutiny. During the reality show Lock Upp, Sunita Ahuja alleged that he was involved with another actor. Her comments drew more attention after Govinda was spotted with Komal Rani Sawnakar, his co-actor from an upcoming movie project, at the airport.
Sunita Ahuja was later photographed outside a family court in Mumbai along with Sanjay Yashwardhan. If reports are to be believed, she filed for divorce in 2024, citing adultery and desertion. However, the actor’s manager later confirmed that the divorce petition had been withdrawn.
Earlier this week, during Raksha Bandhan, the couple’s daughter, Tina, shared a series of pictures on her social media handle. The photos featured Tina with Sunita and Yashwardhan Ahuja. Her cousins, Krishna Abhishek and Aarti Singh, were also visible in the images. However, Govinda was not seen in the pictures.
So far, Govinda has denied all allegations levelled against him and has asked Ahuja to exercise caution while discussing public matters publicly.
