In Orchha, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav stressed the development prospects of the government and also spoke about political issues the BJP is facing in the state in the meeting of the party’s working committee in the town. Highlighting the Congress’s practice of ‘vote-bank politics’ and leveraging various sections of society to secure votes, Yadav singled out the Congress out.
Congress’ political approach was too given to the social harmony of the BJP, the Chief Minister said, adding that the BJP must analyse how the Congress is approaching the game and ‘repair it through social harmony’. He said that over the years Congress has tried using the communities politically, rather than linking them to development.
The government of India has been systematically building the foundation of development, heritage, women empowerment, youth job creation and welfare of farmers, said Yadav. In context of Ladli Behna Scheme, he informed that the Government had come true to its promise by providing financial assistance to women though the Congress leaders had raised queries regarding implementation of the scheme.
The development of historic and religious sites like Orchha, Khajuraho, Panna and Datia will help in the growth of tourism and generation of employment, he said. The Ken-Betwa river-linking project is also a giant initiative to catapult Bundelkhand, he said, adding that better availability of water for farming, supplying the public and for industries would change the face of Bundelkhand.
In his speech, Yadav called upon BJP workers to expose the BJP’s ‘political strategy of division’ amongst the electorates which the Congress was following. He emphasised that the BJP must respond in a social harmonious manner and must go on keeping “development” its priority.
The meeting thus had a political message to set and a review of government’s accomplishments.
