Yash’s Toxic Box Office Day 4: Film collects Rs 24.50 crore as earnings continue to drop

Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is still performing but domestic box office collections have dipped significantly after the mammoth opening weekend. Geetu Mohandas’ film bring in Rs 24.50 crore net on Day 4 at 17,612 screens in India, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.

According to the latest performance, Toxic has reportedly crossed India gross collection figure of Rs 227.50 crore with current earnings and India net collection figure is at Rs 190.45 crore. The global collection of the film is now at Rs 254.75 crore.

On Day 4, the Kannada version had an overall occupancy of 47.23% and Hindi version had an occupancy of 26.19%. The numbers are showing a decline from the opening day, but it shows it’s still very much on with the numbers.

Toxic made a record net collection of Rs 101.10 crore in India on August 26 when it opened. The movie, however, had to post a significant dip in rakes thereafter and so, the extended opening window was the key to the movie’s overall performance in the theaters.

The movie is garnering mixed reviews from both viewers and critics. Yash’s screen presence, modesty and action has gained appreciation while some have questioned the craftsmanship, timing and duration of the film.

The split-reception level has caused a lot of buzz regarding the gangster drama that has come out. The movie is currently moving to another phase of its theatrical release and its performance over the next few days could be the one that will decide the fate of its strong overall momentum despite the significant drop in daily audiences.
