Indraprastha Gas Limited has raised the price of compressed natural gas by Rs 3.89 per kg, with the revised rates coming into effect from 6 a.m. on Saturday.
As per the latest price list, CNG will now cost Rs 95.59 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad. In Meerut, the new price stands at Rs 95.47 per kg, while in Gurgaon, CNG will cost Rs 92.01 per kg. In the national capital, CNG prices have increased to Rs 86.98 per kg.

The price hike is expected to cause an additional financial burden on the segment, especially commercial drivers who depend on daily wages for their survival.
The company has said the rise is driven by higher liquefied natural gas prices. A significant portion of the gas used as an input for CNG is sourced through LNG imports, making domestic prices subject to movements in the international market.
It mentioned that international LNG prices have remained elevated, resulting in an increase in import costs by Rs 3.89 per kg, making the price revision necessary to partially offset the impact.
The rise is also being linked to continuing tensions in West Asia, which have affected cargo movements through the Strait of Hormuz. European demand for LNG ahead of the winter season has also added pressure to the international market.
CNG is widely used by passengers and transport operators across the National Capital Region, making the price increase likely to have a direct impact on commuters and commercial transport operators.
The latest hike is the fifth increase in CNG prices this year and comes after the previous revision in May, when IGL raised prices by a cumulative Rs 6 per kg in four phases over 10 days. That increase followed a global rise in energy prices amid the Middle East conflict
