Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has already touched the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, with a third planned in the works. Shivam’s story has left it more open-ended and fans are hoping that Emraan Hashmi will return in Awarapan 3.

The second movie ends with the rescue of children by Shivam from a trafficking syndicate. But his road seems far from being the end of it. In the ending, Shivam gets along with Nafisa’s gang and when her baby brother helps her, Shivam finds a chance to join them and continue his tale.

Measures have now been taken by writer Bilal Siddiqui when it comes to considering a third picture. He revealed that he and producer Vishesh Bhatt have not had a detailed discussion on Awarapan 3 yet since they have been busy doing the second one and in the process of it going well.

Bilal said that he hasn’t received any information about Vishesh’s plans for the latter’s franchise yet but hopes the producer might soon take the initiative to move Shivam’s story forward. The author shared his joy of the opportunity to see the character again and continue his story.

Siddiqui also noted his joy that Vishesh Bhatt made his dream come true in bringing Awarapan back to the audiences and that the movie’s success made it that much more fulfilling.

The writer also admitted that the success of Awarapan 2 has been a new experience for him. After working mainly in books and shows the movie’s box office has been a change from what he is used to.

So far, there is no official statement about Awarapan 3. The second movie, though, concluded on an open-ended moment and the writer is eager to pull back on Shivam’s story and there’s always another chapter.
