Emraan Hashmi has finally entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club with Awarapan 2. The film’s sequel, which has already reclaimed the impressive figures of the last four days of the 2007 film, has now crossed Rs 100 crore in India’s net collections in only five days.

Awarapan 2 had Rs 9.75 crore net on Day 5 in 11,060 shows, according to a trade tracker, Sacnilk. In this the total collection in India is Rs 100.75 crores, while India gross collection is Rs 120.33 crore.

A strong performance has been seen in overseas markets as well. Along with this it collected Rs 2 crore from abroad on Day 5 which put its overseas gross collection at Rs 23.80 crore. Now, the film has raised its global gross to Rs 144.13 crore.

Awarapan 2 made Rs 22 crore within a day of its release on Friday at 9,033 halls. There was a massive surge in the reception of the film on Saturday with it grabbing Rs 33.75 crore from a presence of 10,496 screens. It added another Rs 26 crore in 9,403 shows on Sunday.

On Monday, the movie continued its impressive staying power with Rs 9.52 crore gross. It has crossed the major Rs 100 crore running mark in its Day 5 collections of Rs 9.75 crore.

Awarapan 2 is a success for Emraan Hashmi and also reinforced his position in the movies, and it’s in a crucial achievement. The positive release performance is yet another milestone in the film’s theatrical run that is already record breaking.

As the first week is yet to be completed, the world will be watching to see if Awarapan 2 can run away with it and produce significantly more income for the company.
