The release calendar for upcoming Bollywood films has witnessed another major change, with Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Eetha moving out of its August 28 release date.

Originally it was planned the movie would be released in theaters on the date of Sidharth Malhotra’s Vvan and Anupam Kher’s Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, which falls on August 28th. But now Eetha has been set at December which will give a break to the films when they were all looking towards a crowded December release.

As per trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, Eetha will be released on December 4. The movie will be set in motion with Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role and Randeep Hooda and Zeeshan Ayyub in the supporting roles.

Shraddha’s character in the film is the famed Lavani artist, Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The trailer, which was viewed in June, garnered good reception, especially the music and Shraddha’s performance.

Vvan Also Delayed

Sidharth Malhotra’s Vvan too had been shifted from August 28 date and now is on September 25. The clash between Eetha and the other three films has been lifted from the August 28 release date, which should mean that those films will get more screenplay and attention.

Other Bollywood Clashes

Even after all these changes, there are still a couple of major conflicts on the Bollywood release timeline.

This is the Haiwaan’s first movie to face the new duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer which will take on the job on September 11.

In the meanwhile this week’s box office will see another clash of titans, Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 will be battling with Sunny Deol’s Batwaara 1947.

Alia Bhatt and Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do also got a bang to their ears last week, but in a different way as they were together in theatres when both films have female assassin themes in their movies.
