Playback singer A.R. Ameen, son of renowned music composer A.R. Rahman, has spoken about the minor accident he was involved in in Chennai on Monday, assuring fans and well-wishers that everyone involved is safe.
Just a few hours after reports surfaced of the accident, Ameen reached out to the incident in an Instagram Stories post. In response, he said, as with other suggestions, he was inside his friend’s car when it happened in the passenger seat, not in the driver.
Ameen said that during their trip to the airport this happened as a minor incident and reported it as such. He attributed the good that occurred to divine intervention.
The singer also expressed his appreciation to his family, friends and fans who reached out to him after the incident and provided messages of concern, love and prayer.
But the prayers and values of Ameen’s grandmother, father A.R. Rahman and “GV Anna” kept guiding and protecting him. He said that he would pass along the teachings given to him from his family.
Singer/composer Khatija Rahman also gave details of the incident in a post on social media, contributing to the clarity of the incident.
Ameen’s statement came days after reports emerged about the accident had raised fans’ concern. That the singer explained he drove the car as a passenger in order to “correct reports that he has been driving the car,” has also been reported.
The singer ended his message by thanking everyone for their love, care and support, and had assured those who had contacted him that things were under control.
