On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated their will to make India and Israel’s strategic partnership even stronger and highlight expanded cooperation in various fields.
In his interaction with the two leaders, the leaders briefed on the progress of bilateral relations and discussed strengthening cooperation in various fields such as trade and defence, technology and innovation, agriculture, cyber security and investment. The two sides reiterated mutual commitment in further developing the historic friendship between the two countries and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Both the two sides recognised the sage development of the relationship between Israel and India throughout the years and underscored the need for adoptive coordination on issues within the region and the world of common interest. They too spoke with opportunities for greater economic engagement and collaboration in new technologies and research.
Prime Minister Modi and Netanyahu affirmed their commitment to further strengthening strategic partnership through continued cooperation, along with more avenues for partnership in areas that could drive economic growth and innovation.
Over the past few years, bilateral relations between India and Israel have grown substantially in areas such as defence, agriculture, water resource management, digital technology and start-up economy, among others. Both countries have engaged in frequent high-level dialogues to strengthen the bilateral cooperation and at the same time solve the common security and development concerns.
The meeting highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen the India-Israel strategic partnership and foster increased engagement on various other matters of mutual interest that have developed over the years through various levels of dialogue and interaction between the two peoples. Both parties showed their confidence that the cooperation and dialogue in various fields will lead to the further deepening of the relationship.
