Makers of Awarapan today dropped the trailer for the sequel, Awarapan 2. It has been almost 19 years since Shivam fate is hanging in the dark, and surprisingly, audience are Eagerly waiting to know what happens next with Shivam.
The OG Emraan Hashmi reprises the role as Shivam driven by vengeance, and honestly, it barely looks like he has taken a break from it.The one minute 25 second trailer starts slow, with the famous ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ track playing in the background setting the tone for the story rooted in pain and redemption. Recalling his past, Emraan Hashmi’s character says that some stories truly never end and that this bond with pain is an old one, signaling that he is back to finish an unsettled business.
The trailer opens with the background music, reviving the memories of the original film and lending an emotional touch to the high-octane, fresh visuals. The sequel also revisits the emotional core of Awarapan (2007). While the original climax in 2007 featured Shivam’s sacrifice, the new film comes with a twist — Shivam alive.
That night, Shivam did not die. Instead, he survived his injuries and disappeared in the shadows, preparing himself to fight the omens. Years later, his troubled history catches up with him. Older, more ruthless and weighed down by guilt, Shivam is pulled back into the criminal underworld where redemption comes at a steep price.
The trailer features a blend of intense action with emotional callback promising a story that honors the legacy of the original while taking its protagonist into a new chapter.The trailer also offers a glimpse Disha Patani’s character. Patni in a never-seen-before action-packed role is seen wielding guns and performing high-octane stunts, while Sabana Azmi appears to play the film’s formidable antagonist.

It is worth noting that Awarapan too stands out as the only Hindi film this month to avoid an A certificate. It clashes the box office release of Batwara 1947, which has received an A rating. Awarapan part 2 is set to hit the theaters on August 14th.It remains to see if the sequel will keep up the flame of its original version or not.
