India extended its phenomenal winning streak at the Commonwealth Games 2026, winning medals in boxing, athletics, and judo.

Boxer Mandengbam Singh of India forayed into the semifinal without conceding a single point and beat Haoseb Philip Pumulo of Namibia by a 5-0 unanimous decision to at least secure a silver medal. Jadumani successfully engaged all five judges in the contest, dominated from the start with speedy footwork and combinations, to win by a unanimous majority of all five judges to make his way into the end.

Neeraj Chopra also received a silver medal in athletics for his men’s Javelin throw in a season’s best of 85.83 metres. Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage was sensational with an 89.75 metre throw to secure the gold, though Neeraj took over the leadership of the game for a while.

India also got a bronze medal when Yashvir Singh registered a personal best throw of 85.41 metres in his final throw to stand third. Olympic champion Nadeem Arshad from Pakistan also suffered a shock defeat in the early exit in the first three rounds while fellow Indian Rohit Yadav finished in seventh.

Judo also added to India’s tally of medals with Asmita Dey clinching the gold in the women’s 48kg category by beating Heidi Quach of Canada with a 2-1 margin in the final.

Harsh Singh was the star of the men’s 60kg event, downshooting Australia’s Joshua Katz 10:0 for his second historic gold medal for India.
