Family of five, including one minor found dead in a rented house in Raipur. As per report, the incident took place in the Sanjay Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of the Tikrapara police station. The incident came to the fore after neighbours noticed foul smell emanating from the locked house. Following which the police was informed.
The decease are identified as Sajid Ali, his wife Rabia Bano (45), their son Irshad Ali (20), and daughters Shahida Begum (15) and Irshaba Parveen (12). The police suspect a murder and suicide case. The family rented out the house eight months ago. Sajid had a business in batteries.
Sajid was found hanging from the ceiling while the bodies of his wife and children were lying on the floor, said police. Exact sequence of the incident is yet to be ascertained. The bodies have been sent to post mortem as police awaits forensic results.
Preliminary investigation revealed the family was last seen on Thursday evening following which through out Friday no body was seen. The house is currently sealed for further probe.
