The public release of fresh CCTV footage has added to the probe into the alleged suicide of a Class 4 girl at a private school in Jaipur, where the victim’s family alleges that she had been bullied repeatedly before her death.
The incident took place on November 01, 2025, when the girl was alleged to have fallen from the fourth floor of the school building and rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Since then her parents have held the opinion that she was bullied at school and that teachers and administration did nothing despite that they knew.
The CCTV footage from a camera in the classroom is now accessible and the family says it depicts the girl arriving at school and being welcomed by a classmate followed by her engaging in a dance activity, before allegedly being bullied by other pupils. They also allege that the child is seen to have approached teachers for support and care but did not get protection or any intervention from the teachers.
Under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, the family had demanded action against the class teacher of the school and also had requested its teacher to be bookable for abetment to suicide, instead of the negligence.
The father of the girl has said that police prepared a chargesheet on July 2 but here only the charges of negligence have been put against the class teacher, the principal and the school owner. The family believes there should be tougher charges given that it has emerged a video of the incident was captured on CCTV footage and it is again demanding justice almost eight months after the shooting incident took place.
