The state is setting course for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) this month, which is in sync with the Uniformity policy of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee, said Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday.
The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Mookerjee on his birth anniversary in Lalghati, Bhopal, and thereafter said that Madhya Pradesh was one of the states moving towards making a uniform legal structure. He remembered how Mookerjee was disseminating the ideology of “One Nation One Constitution” and the state was walking on a similar path.
The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making decisions that are significant for the development of the country, Mohan Yadav added. He noted that Madhya Pradesh works towards inclusive growth and employment generation and enhances its industrial ecosystem.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the various steps taken by the government in Madhya Pradesh in the field of defence manufacturing which show that Madhya Pradesh has stepped into a new era of industrial growth, and is proposing to produce various defence products in the state.
In the event, Yadav announced that he would open a big industrial park at Satgarhi, which is likely to offer integrated facilities like industry infrastructure, employment opportunities and residential facilities.
He also announced the development of a large Convention Centre in Bhopal with seating capacity of about 5,000 and another Convention Centre which is proposed at Satgarhi, will have the capacity of 10,000-15,000.
The Chief Minister also added that Madhya Pradesh now has one of the lowest rates of unemployment in the country and the Government is committed to escalating the pace of development in various areas.
