Mirzapur fans finally can book their tickets for the big screen experience as the much-anticipated teaser of Mirzapur: The Movie is out offering audiences a never before experience into what promises to be one of the biggest cinematic adaptations of an Indian small screen show. Having gained much love from the OTT genre, makers of Mirzapur have made the rough and tough world of Mirzapur come to theatres. Noted for its power tussles, excellent cast and an enthralling story the film will be screened at the cinema halls in a grand format of silver screen with all new story just for the theaterical experience.
The trailer takes you back to the roots of Mirzapur. First glimpse of the movie confirms it serves as a prequel to parallel story of the Mirzapur series taking audience back to 2018 and exploring the how’s and where’s of the power struggle that shaped the criminal empire of Mirzapur.

The newly released teaser reunites viewers with some of the franchise’s most recognisable characters. It transports viewers back into the gritty and volatile world of Mirzapur, with Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Divyenndu reprising their iconic roles. One of the biggest surprises is Jitendra Kumar’s entry as Bablu Pandit, marking the return of the beloved character in a fresh avatar. The film also welcomes Ravi Kishan, who adds a new dynamic to the expanding universe.
The story’s canvas stretches beyond Purvanchal, reaching the deserts of Rajasthan and broadening the scale of the saga as it moves into theatres across multiple regions. The enlarged canvas gives way to believing in a grand narrative that has not been witnessed in any other film of the franchise.
Besides old characters reprising their roles, the ensemble also has Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi and Sonal S Chauhan.
The film is helmed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani serving as co-producers. The movie will hit the theatres on September 4 2026, both in Telugu and Hindi.
