A 21 year-old woman, affiliated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was allegedly found dead in a hijacked room with a note stating she had hung herself with an electrical cord, and serious allegations have been put against her live-in husband which triggered a police investigation in the Indian state of Gujarat in the state’s capital of Rajkot.
Nandini Bosamiya’s body was found hanging at her home in Agaman City in the city of Rajkot. From Jetpur, Nandini is said to have reportedly been staying in Aslam’s house for months since she ran away with a married man named Aslam from her home in October 2025.
Family members say the romance was marred by fighting and opposition from the two families. In the course of the relationship, Nandini’s family claimed she had been subjected to numerous occasions of mental and physical harassment. Her father asserted that her suffering over the years and supposed abuse had finally made taking the extreme action the only option.
Prior to her death, the AAP leader is believed to have shared this emotional message on social media saying that she had ‘lost the battle of life’. Her relatives also claim her jewellery was lodged and they had suffered great emotional coercion.
A serious allegation was made by Nandini’s sister who stated that married Aslam persuaded Nandini to undergo a medical procedure, which would make her infertile for the future.
Family members have provided statements to police, and an investigation into the circumstances of Hughes’ death is underway. There are ongoing investigations into the case, with authorities investigating the allegations and gathering evidence.
