After having an impressive opening at the Box Office Rashmika Mandanna, Shahid and Kriti starrer Cocktail recorded a fall at the first weekend however managed to mint Rs 80 crore worldwide in just four days.

According to reports, the film collected Rs 6.35 crore net on Day 4 while running across 9,785 shows nationwide. With this, Cocktail 2’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 53.85 crore, while its India gross earnings have reached Rs 64.56 crore. Overseas, the love triangle made Rs 1.50 crore on its opening Monday overseas taking the total overseas count to Rs 20.75 crore.

The film is unlikely to recover here onwards, and will probably struggle to reach 100 crore figure in domestic marker by next weekend. It is to be noted that Shahid’s previous release O’Romeo grossed Rs 111 crore worldwide, after opening with lower figures than Cocktail 2.  Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, Cocktail 2 needs to sustain steady collections well onto next week, where it will have stiff competition from another comedy-entertainer Welcome To The Jungle.

As far as the occupancy is considered, the theatres recorded a lower occupancy in comparison to the other days. However, the footfalls increased in the afternoon, registering occupancy of 16.15%, followed by evening shows, where occupancy was 16.54%. The night shows registered a significant occupancy at 18.85 %. The film enjoyed an excellent opening weekend at the box office.

Cocktail 2 a spiritual sequel to Cocktail 2014 but a story with different characters. It is a story of Diya and Kunal, who see their bond get complicated with the arrival of their old buddy named Ally in their life. The whole story turns into something very unexpected and unforeseen for all three of them due to what seemed to be an innocent plan between two women.

Directed by Homi Adajania, the film is backed by producers Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, Pramita R. Vijan, and Ankur Garg under the banners of Maddock Films and Luv Films
