Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh ahead of which Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai had an ace to play in the opposition’s political future and unleashed a tirade against the Congress party in this context.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will reach Raipur on Sunday for attending a 10-day Congress training camp which will be held in Abhanpur, on the outskirts of the state capital. The programme is designed to help improve both the party’s grassroots organization and its enlistment of workers to face future political difficulties.

Responding to Gandhi’s visit, CM Sai satirized the Congress leadership by taking a jibe at its organisation drills and challenging the party’s ability to get things done. Wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, the whole country knows very well what is the fate of the Congress, he said while speaking to the media.

The Congress is conducting its training camp on Sunday for its district presidents, office-bearers and key organisational leaders from all over Chhattisgarh. Rahul Gandhi will be staying at the event for almost 5.5 hours as per the schedule.

During his visit the Congress leader is scheduled to give direction to the party functionaries with a view of strengthening the party at grass root level. He will also be exploring potential future political pathways and opportunities for strengthening worker-coordination with leadership.

Party leaders have said that the training camp is an important one to improve the skill and efficiency of workers and preparedness for elections. The programme aims to strengthen the organizational setup and party cadres’ confidence going forward for future elections.

The visit of Rahul Gandhi is keeping many in the political circles abuzz as both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress engage in a race to gear up for the fierce electoral fight in the state and on the national front.
