In a latest update, the NTA has said that more than 10 lakh students already downloaded admit cards within 24 hours of the activation of the service.
In a statement, NTA said, “More than 10 lakh students have downloaded their Admit Cards for NEET UG 2026 in about 24 hours since the launch of the Admit Card download facility. Our tech teams are monitoring the loads on the servers and NTA will ensure that all candidates get their Admit Cards well in time for the Examination.”
Nearly four lakh candidates had downloaded their admit cards shortly after the facility was launched. The agency also apologised for the inconvenience caused by technical issues and assured students that efforts were underway to resolve all problems.
The NEET re-exam will be held on June 21st. All candidates are expected to download the admit cards as soon as a possible. NTA has also requested all students to tally all the details of the documents and rely only on official channels for further updates. More than 22 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the fresh test, making it one of the largest entrance examinations in the country.
NTA has also introduced several student-friendly measures for the re-exam, including an extended exam duration of 195 minutes, 15 minutes longer than before, as well as enhanced security arrangements to ensure a fair and transparent examination process.
