Canada’s historic home debut kicked off first, bringing a vibrant live celebration of the nation’s diverse cultural mosaic to the pitch. Just hours later, the festival shifts live to the West Coast of the United States, where Hollywood-grade technology and a star-studded musical lineup will formally launch the American leg of this historic 104-match tournament.
Nora Fatehi performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on June 12 in her hometown Toronto at the Canadian fan park event. She performed at the FIFA national anthem ‘Siir Siir’ alongside music producer Sanjoyd and French artist Vegdream. Her energetic appearance ahead of Canada’s opening match provided a magnificent spectacle for thousands of travelling football supporters gathered in Ontario.
She chose a striking, sports-themed streetwear aesthetic that seamlessly blended contemporary style with heritage elements and paired it with loose-fitting denim trousers.
Talking to the social media after the musical enigma, the global icon posted the full performance footage online for millions of digital followers.
“Performing in Toronto for the first time.. SIIR SIIR at the FIFA Countdown Concert 2026. Thank you, Toronto, for coming out and being so incredible,” Fatehi stated on her official Instagram handle. The viral clip immediately generated substantial online traffic from global entertainment followers.
