The Rajasthan government has finished the land allotment for 5,160 hectares and designated the land for new industrial areas, which would boost the industrial development of the state and provide job opportunities to the residents of the state.
The officials say that the project comes as part of the government’s efforts to lure investors, boost industrial infrastructure and kick-start economic activity in the state of Rajasthan. With this new allocated land, industrial units are expected to be established and the units support long term economic development.
According to government records, during this government’s term the administration has given all of the land to RIICO to use for industrial development. This will aid in generating employment opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and enhance investment climate in the State, officials said.
RIICO has also continued its momentum on the opening of industrial areas for allotment at a fast pace. The industrialised area which has been made available for allotment has been 0.3 acre per day on average basis. Besides this, the company has reserved an average six plots from the different industrial areas for everyday. In financial year 2025-26, only 21 industrial areas have been opened for allotments.
The state government also encourages industries through the Rajasthan Industrial Park Promotion Policy 2026. In implementing the policy, an initiative has started to create industrial parks with private sector involvement, with the aim of furthering industrial infrastructure and investment areas.
The integration of both programmes will boost the competitiveness of the industries in Rajasthan, create new industries and make a considerable contribution to generating jobs and economic growth in the coming years, officials said.
