A man died and a woman has been reportedly hospitalized after excessive alcohol consumption at ‘ Klangkuenstler All Night Long’ music event at the NSCI Dome Worli late last night.
Vrishab Ganurde 28 ,a Mahim resident and his friend apparently a woman were heavily intoxicated sources said. They were immediately rushed to the hospital after they developed health complications at the venue. They were rushed for medical assistance, where doctors managed to stabilize the woman, while Gangurde was declared dead.
Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered by the Tardeo police. The exact cause of the death is yet to be determined. A forensic and post-mortem report is awaited. Victims friends are being questioned in the case. CCTV footage from the venue is also being examined to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the death.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that Gangurde may have consumed alcohol before or during the concert. However, investigators are also probing other possibilities, including consumption of prohibited substances or any underlying medical condition.
Earlier, two MBA students died in an alleged drug overdose at a music event at Mumbai’s NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, which had led to multiple arrests and a wider investigation into a suspected drug supply network operating around music festivals and concerts.
