Two separate fire incidents took place in Noida on Friday morning, prompting emergency response operations, and making residents alert regarding fire safety in their residential and commercial buildings. The severe incident was a fire in a flat which is in the middle of a high-rise apartment in Sector 74, the fire started on the 12th floor in a residential building. Another fire was reported to have been on the ground floor of a building in Sector 52. Both events have so far claimed no lives, Noida authorities said.

The big blaze broke out in a flat at the IVY County residential society, an area under Sector 113 police station jurisdiction around 8:00 a.m. Fire soon swept through the apartment and dense black smoke soon began to be visible from several adjacent areas, from the upper floors of the 28-storey building. Residents were forced out of the home on the staircases, as emergency personnel raced to the scene.

The blaze was contained in a large fire effort by fire department personnel to prevent adjacent apartments being engulfed in the fire. To safeguard the other residents who were living in nearby flats, they also brought them to safer sites. The exact cause of the fire is still being investigated, officials said.

In the meantime, CM of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the event and asked the officials for immediate assistance and a rescue operation. He further directed the authorities to give prompt medical help if needed immediately and monitor the situation.

The incidents have reiterated the significance of the potential hazards and effect of fire safety preparedness in high rise residence buildings that complement the high density of urban developments.
