New Delhi: Delay has been observed in the Class 12 re-evaluation process, which, as per the announcement by the CBSE, was to begin by June 1. Thousands of students were left frustrated on Monday after the board’s Post-Result Activities portal failed to become operational as scheduled.

Students who attempted to access the portal on June 1 were greeted by a message stating: “Site is under updation and will be available soon.”

However, according to CBSE sources, the re-evaluation portal is expected to go live later today. Sources said that technical and payment-related work is currently being completed before the portal is activated to avoid disruptions once the application process begins.

The delay has sparked concern among students, particularly those preparing for the next stage of the engineering admissions process. JEE counselling is scheduled to begin on June 2, just a day after the expected launch of the CBSE re-evaluation portal. Many students are awaiting the re-evaluation, which could help them improve their scores and attain the required marks for admission to certain engineering institutes.

Portal activation already postpone

CBSE had previously shifted the opening of the verification portal from May 29th to June 1, citing additional efforts to strengthen the website and maintain the highest evaluation standards. An official in the know said that the portal was being strengthened and that the board would share 

Who can apply for re-evaluation?

Class 12 candidates who had earlier applied for and obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books can only avail the facility. Under the revised post-result review process, students can raise objections on a question-by-question basis if they believe marks were not awarded appropriately.
