Young Punjab pacer Gurnoor Brar, who has impressed with his pace and bounce, is one of the most inspiring stories of the domestic circuit after getting his first call-up from the Indian side for the upcoming Tests and ODIs series against Afghanistan national cricket team.
The choice is surprising as Gurnoor Brar had not got a chance to play a single match for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. He was a pacer this season, but his domestic cricket performance was too outstanding to be ignored.
The Punjab pacer made his name in 2024-25 domestic season with his match-winning efforts in red-ball cricket. Brar picked up 33 wickets in 12 matches across formats with an economy rate of 3.43, demonstrating his discipline and wicket-taking skills.
