Chennai: The State Board Exam results of Class 10 in Tamil Nadu is declared. Girls are said to have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 96.47 per cent in comparison to 92.15 per cent boys. As per the govt data, 5,171 schools across the state recorded a 100 percent pass percentage this year. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 94.31 per cent higher than the previous year’s 93.80 per cent.
Overall 9,09 lakh students had registered to appear for TN SSLC exam including 8.82 lakh regular candidates, 395 prison in mates and the remaining private/re-attempt. Among districts, Pudukkottai led the chart with 97.57 per cent, closely followed by Sivagangai at 97.54 per cent and. Thanjavur at 97.41 per cent. Trichy secured 97.31 per cent, while Kanniyakumari recorded 97.30 per cent.
Among school categories, private schools recorded the highest pass percentage at 98.14 per cent. Government-aided schools registered a pass percentage of 94.34 per cent, while government schools recorded 91.86 per cent.
Students can check their provisional marksheet on the official website https://tnresults.nic.in/. They require to provide registration number and date of birth to access the marksheet. The digital marksheet includes subject-wise marks besides total and the grade.
The Tamil Nadu Class 10 board exam was held between March 11 and April 6, 2026, in offline mode. Over 4,800 flying squads monitored centres statewide to prevent malpractice and maintain transparency.
Special arrangements were also made for 12,292 differently abled students, who were provided with scribes and other necessary assistance to help them complete the examinations.
