Customer relationship management (CRM)-focused tech giant Salesforce, in a major move, expanded its domestic workforce by 17,000 in India on the back of the robust business growth, an official said on Tuesday. The current hiring reflects a sharp rise from the previously hired 14,000 employees in November 2025, spread across offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur.

Addressing the gathering at the Agentforce World Tour in Mumbai, President and CEO of South Asia announced the milestone employment. With operations spanning across metropolitan cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Jaipur, the company’s overall revenue in the region has surged by over 47 percent reaching USD 1.5 billion.

Expanding its footprint in the sales industry, the San Francisco based company also launched Agentforce Voice in Hindi. The new initiatives enable businessmen to deliver natural, inclusive and AI powered customer experience across the country. Bhattacharya added noted that the system is under work to include Indian Regional languages for businessmen to leverage the opportunity.

In a prominent client acquisition, the company welcomed Tata Realty on board the platform. Besides, Bhattacharya also highlighted Salesforce’ extensive corporate social responsibility efforts in the region pressing that the firm has donated over USD 10 million to charity. Further data revealed, employees contributed 600,000 hours of volunteer work, supporting 800 plus NGOs.
