A shocking case happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha in which a retired teacher shot himself in the shop near a wine shop and in the process of his Retirement fell dead, police said.
It happened behind the Purampura wine shop where officers heard a loud gunshot and a rush to the scene by surrounding residents, officials said. People in the area immediately rushed to the scene where the teacher was found to be in critical condition, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim, Atul Chaturvedi of Agyaram Colony, has been identified. Police stated that Chaturvedi had recently retired from the education department and his job was peon.
Soon a police team arrived there and picked up the body and sent it for post-mortem. The site was cordoned off and a forensic search of the site was also conducted in an attempt to gather evidence.
The reasons for the drastic measure have not been identified, officials said. As of yet, there is no suicide note found.
Police have initiated a detailed investigation and are talking with local and family members about any personal, financial or mental pressures that could have sparked the incident. All angles are being reviewed to find out what went wrong in the tragedy.
