New Delhi: Probe into the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak deepens around two brothers from Rajasthan’s Jaipur Rural district as officials investigate an alleged money trail stretching from Jaipur to Sikar and Gurugram.
Dinesh Biwal and Mangilal, residents of Jamwaramgarh in rural Jaipur, are among the key accused being questioned in the case. According to the police, the two procured the exam paper and circulated it across their network. Rakesh Mandwaria, who runs RK Consultancy, a career guidance centre is being questioned following his arrest. It is suspected that the guess paper was leaked from his centre.
According to the details revealed during the probe, Rakesh Mandwaria confessed that he had bought the paper from Dinesh and Mangilal for Rs 15 lakh. The paper subsequently circulated widely in Sikar town before reaching a whistleblower, who alerted the National Testing Agency (NTA), triggering the wider investigation.
The investigation into the suspected leak of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 in Rajasthan took a dramatic turn with a small but telling detail on a WhatsApp message: “Forwarded many times.” As investigators traced the circulation of a so-called “guess paper,” they realized the breach was far more widespread than initially believed.
Officials from the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG), which handled the probe before the CBI assumed control on Tuesday, discovered a WhatsApp group called “Private Mafia,” where the paper was allegedly being shared. According to officials, members had paid varying amounts starting at around Rs 5,000 to gain access to the group. Although administrators had reportedly issued strict warnings against forwarding the paper, it eventually spread extensively across multiple channels.
So far 5 have arrests have been made in the case. The CBI has seized multiple digital devices, including mobile phones and laptops, from the accused which will undergo forensic analysis to identify messaging applications that may have been used to distribute the examination papers.
