Nora Fatehi’s name is on the lips of many as she prepares to return to the global football arena for the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony in Canada. The actor and dancer will reportedly perform and sing at the ceremony at BMO Field in Toronto on June 12.
This is yet another giant stride for Nora in her international career, after an impressive performance during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. Her performances and stage presence had been a talking point at the tournament’s events and closing ceremonies.
Nora is among an international cast of artists that will include Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Vegedream and more. FIFA has also arranged for individual opening ceremonies in the United States and Mexico, featuring acts like Katy Perry, Lisa, Rema and Tyla.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest in World Cup history with 48 teams making their debut at the World Cup. The competition will be held June 11 thru July 19 in host countries Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Previously, Nora Fatehi had expressed her sentiment about her Qatar FIFA, saying it was one of the proudest moments of her career. She had recalled sharing some memories from the event, saying that it was a dream of her school days to perform on the World Cup stage.
The announcement of her participation in the opening ceremony of the 2026 year also bolsters her emerging global footprint as an entertainer, performing on some of the world’s grandest stages, both for Indian viewers and the international audience.
