Chennai: Drama continues to roll over Tamil Nadu’s political landscape as Vijay’s swearing-in as CM gets delayed again. 72 hours after the vote counting, TVK has met the governor twice in concern about the shortcomings the party is facing to stake a claim on the government.

Sources reveal TVK may move the court challenging the Governor’s stance of 118 MLAs to take over. So far, the party has received support from a Left Bloc- Communist Party of India and CPI and the Vidhutalai Chirutaigal Katchi. All three previously an alliance of DMK have approached the debutant party for transfer of seats.

Earlier today, the leaders of the parties held a meeting with DMK chief Stalin to discuss the transfer of seats and were reportedly given the freedom to decide on their own. The outgoing party has flagged the governers stance as unacceptable and a disrespect to the mandate.

Fellow actor Kamal Hassan who is the chief of the Makkal Needhi Nalam, which did not undergo elections this year has also extended support to VIjay’s party.

The term of the current assembly ends in 72 hours and it remains to see if the commander will be able to convince the Governor or not.
