Bengal CM Swearing-in Ceremony: After the historic victory, BJP is now busy preparing for the formation of the new government in West Bengal. The CM face will be decided in the meeting of the legislative party to be held on 8th May. However, before that, the date and place of the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bengal (Bengal CM Oath Ceremony) has been decided. The swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP Chief Minister of Bengal and his cabinet will take place on 9th May.
The swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister of Bengal will be held at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The program will begin at 10 am. Governor C.V. Anand Bose will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the ministers of the new government. This day is the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Hence, it is being considered special.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will witness this grand ceremony. In addition to the Prime Minister, BJP National President Nitin Naveen, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and several other Union Ministers will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Chief Ministers from BJP and NDA-ruled states will also attend.
Election Commission has also issued a notification regarding the formation of a new Legislative Assembly in Bengal. The notification has been sent to the Governor. With this, the way for the formation of a new government has also been cleared. The term of the Bengal Legislative Assembly is ending on 7 May. Along with West Bengal, notifications have also been issued regarding the formation of new assemblies in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. The notifications of the Election Commission have paved the way for the leaders of the winning parties in each state and union territory to stake claim to form the government before the term of the previous state assembly ends. The term of the Tamil Nadu Assembly is ending on 10 May, Assam on 20 May, Kerala on 23 May and Puducherry on 15 June.
