The confirmed dates and venues of the IPL Playoffs 2026 will be out soon said BCCI Sec on Saturday hinting the details will be out by May 5th.
“We are working on what could be the appropriate venue for the IPL playoffs and the final. So, we will take another two days’ time,” BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said.
On being asked if Mullanpur and Bengaluru could be the venues he said, “You can keep guessing, but I am not going to give you a reply. We will take a call in two days’ time.”
The IPL 2026 group stage ends on 24th May with the last match between KKR and DC. This season Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru gear up to reach the playoffs once again. The Shreyas Iyer-led side currently lead the IPL 2026 standings with 13 points from eight matches, whereas Rajat Patidar and Co are in second place with 12 points from nine matches.
The BCCI had earlier confirmed that IPL 2027 would be the last season for the controversial impact player rule. Addressing the players objection on the rule Saikia saif that no IPL team ever has complained about the rule.
