Donald Trump has written a new warning to Iran, saying that the country needs to get smart soon as the situation between the two parties is rising. Trump foreshadowed a more aggressive approach in a social media post, saying that Iran would no longer be dealing with what he termed as Mr. Nice Guy.

Trump once again, in his comments, condemned the way Iran has managed the current talks especially failure in concluding non nuclear deal. Another controversial edited picture was one where he was holding a weapon, which further escalated the tone of his message. This was on the heels of the fact he had just declared that Iran was in a state of collapse, which further aggravated the already tense diplomatic relations.

Another strategic significance of the Strait of Hormuz which Trump mentioned implied that Iran was keen to have it reopened in the face of domestic troubles. His remarks underscore the increasing worries about the stability of the region since the waterway is an important passageway of oil to the world.

In the meantime, the efforts of the United States diplomacy with Iran seem to be frozen. Scheduled peace negotiations have been halted, and Trump stated that the US would not send a delegation to Pakistan to have additional talks. This ruling was in response to an Iranian delegation, which was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, having meetings in Islamabad with Pakistani leaders, including Ishaq Dar.

What we have here is a case of continued uncertainty in US-Iran relations as both parties attempt to strike a compromise in the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tension and lack of progress in negotiations.
