The death of Asha Bhosle at the age of 92 has shocked the nation and relatives, friends, and other celebrities have flocked Mumbai to pay their last homage. Emotional tributes were paid to the legendary singer who died on April 12, of multi-organ failure, in Breach Candy Hospital, at her residence.
Some of the visitors included Tabu and Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar. Pictures of the house depicted Tabu comforting the granddaughter of Asha Zanai Bhosle and embracing her in her time of sorrow. Sachin and Anjali were also spotted to be offering their condolences to the family and socialize with Zanai and the others.
Some of the prominent personalities in film and music industry like A. R. Rahman and Asha Parekh also came in order to pay a tribute to the legendary singer. Asha Bhosle was laid to rest in the Indian tricolour as a tribute to the nation and ceremonial honours were held in her memory.
The last sightseeing of the loved ones went on at her Lower Parel house till afternoon when the funeral procession was taken to a cremation ground at Shivaji Park where her last rites were paid.
Asha Bhosle is survived by her son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Zanai. Her death has sparked an outpouring of grief across the country, with fans and celebrities remembering her timeless voice and unparalleled contribution to Indian music.
