Char Dham Yatra 2026: Preparations are underway at a war footing at Shri Badrinath Dham ahead of the opening of the doors on April 23. In this sequence, Vishal Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), arrived at the shrine today and conducted an on-site inspection of the arrangements and a thorough review of the preparations.
During this time, he inspected the ongoing master plan work at the Dham and directed the concerned officials to complete all work by April 20th without compromising on quality. He also observed the ongoing cleaning and painting work on the premises and spoke with the workers on site, encouraging them.
The CEO instructed the temple in-charge to complete the decorations at the Narsingh Temple and the Yoga Badri Temple by April 20th. He also directed that the floral decorations at Shri Badrinath Dham be completed by April 22nd. He particularly emphasized the use of marigolds and roses of various colors and urged donors to be informed in time.

In addition, he directed that all CCTV cameras installed in the Dham complex be repaired and tested before the doors open. For the convenience of devotees, instructions were also given to install screens at various locations along the queues so that waiting devotees could enjoy the religious programs.
He directed that the repairs to the guest houses at Jyotirmath and the Dham be completed promptly and that attractive signage be installed throughout the temple complex before April 20th, providing better guidance and convenience to devotees. Also present during the inspection were the Tehsildar Jyotirmath, Public Works Department officials, BKTC personnel, and representatives from organizations involved in the master plan.
