Members of the Christian community on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, demanding strict action against the accused in the St. Teresa land scam linked to the former Masih Hospital property. They urged authorities to take legal action and present strong evidence against key accused, including Sudhir Jain, Sudhir Das, and Ankit Ullasmal Wadera, who are alleged to have illegally encroached upon and misused the hospital land.

The St Teresa land, originally donated by Dhar Maharaj for the establishment of a women’s hospital, was used for medical services for several years before the hospital was shut down. According to allegations, the valuable property was later fraudulently transferred and misappropriated using forged documents.

Police recently arrested Sudhir Jain, considered the mastermind of the ₹250 crore scam, after he remained absconding for nearly four years. He was apprehended from Indore and had earlier been declared a proclaimed offender with a reward announced for his capture. Community members appreciated the police action and thanked officials for the arrest.

Investigations revealed that the land, measuring around one hectare and dating back to 1895, was originally granted to a Christian missionary trust. Authorities allege that the accused manipulated government records and sold the land for huge profits. Several influential individuals have already been arrested as part of the ongoing probe.
