The 12 th day of the Budget Session in the Chhattisgarh Assembly took place today, and a number of significant legislative and administrative issues are to be discussed in the House. The Question Hour will see Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, minister Tank Ram Verma and Kedar Kashyap answering questions that Assembly members may pose.
The introduction of the Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Bill will also be one of the highlight of the day proceedings; it will be presented by the Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sharma. The bill would be one that would cause a lot of debate between the members of the ruling and the opposition.
Important official documents would be tabled by Finance Minister OP Choudhary in the session and also the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill would be introduced again. Also, consultations will be done regarding the grant requirement of different departments below the Chief Minister.
Some of the legislators will also bring out issues to the attention of the populace by way of motion. In the House, issues of concern will come up by MLA Kunwar Singh Nishad, and Lalit Chandrakar and petitions by Vikram Mandavi, Lata Usendi, and Uddeshwari Paikra.
The session will also be characterized by active involvement and heated debates as major policy-related issues and legislations will be discussed. In general, the agenda of the day brings out a combination of governance related matters, legislative business related matters as well as public interest issues, and hence a critical day to the continuing Budget Session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly.
