The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has reported that the fee of the FASTag Annual Pass is going to be revised, and the price will be ₹3075 in the financial year 202627 expediting 3000. The new charge will be implemented as of April 1, 2026.

The new rate, according to the official statement, will be charged on the eligible non-commercial vehicles having a valid FASTag, which want to access the Annual Pass facility at approximately 1,150 toll plazas in the national highways and expressways around the country. The program is geared towards easing the process of paying highway tolls to frequent highways users who find it difficult to pay numerous times every year recharging their FASTag accounts.

The FASTag Annual Pass is convenient to the owners of their own vehicles, and it comes with an unlimited access of up to 200 crossings at the various toll plaza or one year, whichever is less. After achieving this limit or expiration of the validity period, the user will be forced to renew the pass or pay the toll fees using his usual FASTag balance.

Annual pass was first introduced on August 15, 2025, and has been experiencing incremental uptake of motorists. Government statistics indicate that over 56 lakh vehicle owners have already purchased the facility and this means the facility is becoming popular among the frequent highway users.

The FASTag Annual Pass can be activated by the users via the Rajmarg Yatra App or on the official NHAI web site. Once the payment process has been completed the pass is normally activated on the vehicle in place of the FASTag on the vehicle within two hours.

Authorities stated that the plant could accommodate any qualified personal vehicles having a valid FASTag and was designed to enhance a hassle-free highway operation, less waiting period at toll plazas, and advance the concept of digital toll collection along the national highway system in India.
