MUMBAI – In what can only be described as unprecedented, with just six days until its much-awaited theatrical release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also known as Dhurandhar 2, has sparked a frenzy at the global box office. While its shows in its native land are yet to be officially confirmed, its pre-release box office numbers have ensured that it is well on its way to achieving a historic milestone.

The sequel is enjoying a seismic opening in international markets, especially in North America. From what is emerging from the United States and Canada, it is clear that Dhurandhar 2 is breaking opening week box office records for Indian cinema, a trend that has seen its screen counts rise exponentially in international circuits, resulting in pre-release box office earnings that have already surpassed the ₹60 crore mark, a milestone that was achieved before the commencement of bookings for its domestic counterpart.

As of March 13, the film has sold 4,77,981 tickets for 9,103 shows across India through its premiere pre-sales. So far, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has collected Rs 24.46 crore from pre-sales held across the country, excluding blocked seats. While the collections have reached 29.4 crores with blocked seats, this has set the stage for a historic opening for the film.
