The affected girls are said to be residents of Barkari Jigniya village in Pichhore. Their names are Anjali, Poonam, Rajni, Bharti, and Rekha. All of them are 14 years old and were vaccinated against cervical cancer under the state government’s free HPV vaccination campaign.
The families have made serious allegations, alleging that Anganwadi workers administered the vaccine without their knowledge or consent. They say the girls experienced dizziness, vomiting, and weakness after receiving the vaccine, after which they were taken to the hospital.
