Patna: Bihar’s education department has prepared a revolutionary plan for government schools and universities, which aims to make the state’s education system completely digital and modern in the next five years.

Now, Bihar’s students will no longer be limited to books. Schools will incorporate AI (Artificial Intelligence), robotic models, and virtual reality (VR). Teachers will provide practical demonstrations along with theory to deepen students’ understanding. The curriculum, from Class 1 to PG, has been divided so that only relevant topics will be useful in the future are addressed.

Grading system and special categories

A grading system will now replace marks in exams. Students will be divided into five categories:
​A grade (81-100%): Excellent.
​B grade (61-80%): Excellent.
​C, D, and E grades (0-60%): Special classes will be offered in schools and teaching will be conducted in mission mode for students in these categories.

Huge investment and modern infrastructure

According to Education Minister Sunil Kumar, a massive sum of ₹1,485 crore has been approved for school modernization. In the first phase, 789 schools are being developed as model schools.
This includes:
ICT labs in 5,277 higher secondary schools.

Smart classes and physics, chemistry and biology labs in 8000 schools.

1.61 lakh tablets have been distributed to the students.

Provision of Rs 44.83 crore for music and creative arts.

Coding, data science, soft skills, and internships are being made mandatory in this new system. Most importantly, the foundation for competitive exams like NEET and CAT will be laid from the primary level. Special notes will be prepared on important points to keep students updated and prepared for future challenges.
