ALWAR/DHARUHERA – In a tragic incident at a construction site in Dharuhera, seven workers lost their lives when they were buried alive by a massive mound of earth at the site. Several others have sustained severe injuries in the tragic incident that took place at the construction site of the Signature Global Builder Society at Kapriyawas, near the Delhi-Jaipur highway.


It is reported that the tragic incident took place during the course of heavy excavation work at the site. A massive mound of earth caved in at the site, burying several workers alive at the site.

There was chaos at the site as the other workers tried to dig out their fellow workers before the arrival of the ambulance. It is reported that the victims were taken to the Bhiwadi District Hospital, where seven people were declared dead upon arrival.

Dr. Sagar Arora of the Bhiwadi District Hospital has confirmed the death toll and stated, “The deceased were admitted after they were rescued from the debris.” The Additional Superintendent of Police, Atul Sahu, has identified four of the deceased as: Parmeshwar (52 years), Satish (35 years), a resident of Bharatpur district, Bhagirath (50 years), and Mangal (32 years).

The identities of the remaining two deceased are still to be ascertained. The seriously injured have been shifted to hospitals for further treatment.

Investigation Underway


Rescue efforts continued through the night to ensure that there were no workers trapped in the debris. Police officials from Rajasthan and Haryana have been alerted as the incident occurred near the border.

Family members of the deceased are arriving at the hospital, and an investigation is underway to ascertain if safety measures were in place when the excavation was conducted at a great depth. The developer of the project, Signature Global, has still not made a statement on the cause of the incident.
