Raipur. Chhattisgarh’s international weightlifter Rustam Sarang has been assigned the position of Assistant Director in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. On this occasion, Sarang expressed his gratitude to the Chhattisgarh government and Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister Arun Sao.

It should be noted that in recognition of Rustam Sarang’s sporting achievements and experience, he has been deputized to the position of Assistant Director in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. For a long time, players and sports enthusiasts had been demanding that the state’s emerging athletes should benefit from Sarang’s experience.

Rustam Sarang has brought glory to the country and state internationally. The state government has entrusted him with this important responsibility, recognizing his extensive experience and achievements in the field of sports. He explained that for the past few months, due to other commitments, he had been absent from sports training and activities, causing many younger athletes to face difficulties in receiving free training. Now, with this new responsibility, he will once again work with full commitment to train athletes and connect them with sports activities.

Rustam Sarang’s sports career was filled with many achievements

Chhattisgarh’s international weightlifter Rustam Sarang’s sporting career has been filled with many achievements. He gained national recognition by winning a gold medal at the 2005 Junior Asian Weightlifting Championships, becoming Chhattisgarh’s first international weightlifter. He then won a bronze medal at the 2006 Senior National Championships and a silver medal at the 2007 Guwahati National Games.
