Sri Anandpur Sahib: The “Hola Mohalla” festival, a symbol of Punjab’s rich culture and the valor of the Khalsa Panth, has begun with great devotion and enthusiasm in Sri Anandpur Sahib. The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has made unprecedented arrangements for the devotees this year.
Giving information about the event, Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains said that following the message of Guru Gobind Singh Ji that whoever wants to see me, I will meet you in Anandpur Sahib every year on Hola Mohalla, a large number of devotees are reaching there.
5 big features of this time
Eco-Friendly Green Hola Mohalla: This year, the entire festival has been kept “green,” promoting the message of environmental protection. Instead of plastic, only biodegradable crockery will be used in langar and other venues, with the entire cost borne by the Punjab Pollution Control Board.
High-tech Facilities: 100 e-rickshaws have been deployed to serve the devotees. Companies have been instructed to install temporary towers to avoid mobile network problems.
Toll-free City and Permanent Tent City : A “Trolley City” with 28 parking spaces has been created for the devotees arriving on tractor-trolleys, equipped with CCTV and LED screens for bathing, accommodation, and security. A permanent tent city has also been inaugurated, which will be available year-round.
Rejuvenation and Tourism : “Panj Pyara Park” has been renovated and made suitable for family outings. Additionally, the Bhai Jaita Ji Museum, Nature Park, and Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Museum will be major attractions.
Health and Safety : 21 Aam Aadmi Clinics and ambulance services will be deployed 24 hours a day to handle any emergencies. Three-layer barricading has been installed at Charan Ganga Stadium for security purposes.
