Jagdalpur: The Bastar Police are fully prepared to ensure a peaceful and safe celebration of Holi, the festival of colors. This year, Holika Dahan will take place on the night of the 2nd, while Holi will be celebrated on the 3rd and 4th. With this in mind, approximately 400 police personnel have been deployed in the city and rural areas.

To strengthen the security arrangements, the Black Panther squad will patrol on motorcycles. Patrolling vehicles will also continuously search the city and rural areas. The police have given clear instructions that strict action will be taken against those driving under the influence of alcohol.

If alcohol consumption is confirmed in the breath analyzer test, the vehicle will be confiscated and will not be released for three days. Along with this, strict instructions have been issued to the color shops in the city. There will be a complete ban on the sale of masks. In view of public safety, 24-hour monitoring will be done from the control room through CCTV cameras installed in the city. Additional security forces have also been deployed in the Madpal area for Holika Dahan.

In the presence of station heads, security personnel, CSP, SDOP, DSP, and ASP from the Kotwali police station, approximately 400 personnel conducted a flag march in Jagdalpur city. The flag march sent a message to the public to celebrate Holi with harmony and peace. Police warned that strict action will be taken immediately if any illegal activity or actions by anti-social elements are detected.
